Premium Boo-Boo Balm Ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoons beeswax, *see note
  • 5 drops melaleuca essential oil (like this)
  • 5 drops lavender essential oil (like this)
  • 3 drops frankincense essential oil (like this)
  • 3 drops helicyhrsum essential oil (like this)
Instructions
  1. Melt coconut oil and beeswax* over low to medium-low heat in a small saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add essential oils (see below).
  3. Pour into a glass container and allow to harden.
  4. Store away from direct heat or sunlight.
To use
  1. Wash hands and affected area. Scoop out a small amount, soften between fingers, and apply to affected area.
Notes
The amount of beeswax you will need will depend on the temperature of your house. In the summer, I used 2 Tbsp of beeswax pellets and it gave a really nice consistency. It firmed up the liquid coconut oil enough to make an easy-to-use ointment. However in the winter, this much beeswax made it rock solid. Reducing to 1 Tbsp beeswax gave a much better consistency.
