It’s that time of year…

Snotty noses, coughing, sneezing and general yuckiness as we all try to stay healthy and avoid cold and flu season. We all know that once the kids get sick, the parents are only days away from succumbing as well.

I learned how to make these adorable little kleenex holders at SNAP conference last year. Unfortunately we learned how to make them on a serger and I don’t own one. I came home and adapted the project to be made on a regular sewing machine.

Every member of my family keeps one of these in their jacket pocket and I have one in each of my purses so that if there is ever a running nose situation, we are all equipped to act. Each kleenex holder takes about 5 minutes to make and can be made using leftover scraps of fabric. They would make great stocking stuffers or teacher gifts.

Head on over to Sew Creative and learn how to make your own 5 minute tissue holder sewing project!
